ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: What's your story? Have you ever thought about that question?? I challenge you to answer this for two reasons. First off, when you think about and put together your story, it forces you to look back at where you started and then see how far you've come: physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. This is an empowering exercise to build momentum in your life to continue becoming the best version of yourself. Secondly, when you share your story and more importantly, when you hear someone else's story, it breaks down the unnecessary walls that we put up in self defense. Relationships are about relating and finding common ground. Too often, we feel like we have to overcome challenges alone or that no one will understand our struggles. How many times have you asked yourself questions like, "why am I the only one who can't lose weight" or "how come everyone else seems happy?" I promise you that anything you're going through...you're not alone. Share your story. Hear the stories of others. This is a huge step in the uniting of women and women building each other up!
Daily Challenge: Share a piece of your story with the #LGAccountability community. This is going to be so wonderful in getting to know each other better and connecting on deep levels so we can continue to be each other's supporters!

A piece of my story I haven't always shared is the way I live my everyday life. Those of you who knew me when I first began blogging may remember my college days as a biology major. I often pitied myself for having a rigorous major and not being able to enjoy my free time as much as other college students. I envied those who seemed to live care free, enjoying the moment and constantly having fun. At that time my happiness was very short lived; I was happy getting an A on an exam, but jumped right back into feeling overwhelmed and stressed as I studied for the next one. I remember complaining to my mom ((who I consider to be the ultimate superwoman)) and she told me I had to learn not to let life situations like a class define me. That simple lesson has helped me take on a perspective of letting go of "life situations." We all have life situations from being a single mother to having a demanding job or enduring an illness. We can let those things define us and destroy our peace or we can accept them and make the best of it. I'm learning more and more to accept what is and live in the moment, and I cannot tell you how much peace I feel inside despite what's going on around me.
