Did you know only 8% of people stick to their New Year's resolutions? 

As we hit the 2015 half way mark this week, let's use it to reset and refocus on our health and fitness goals! Healthy living helps us look better, and more importantly feel better so we have the confidence to lead life we absolutely love! You deserve it, and I'm going to help you achieve it!

We begin each year with sky high motivation that slowly fizzles with each passing month. By summer, our schedules our packed with activities and our minds our on anything but our new year's goals. It's a bit of a summer slump, but I've got your back with this summer reset!

Let's finish 2015 strong as a community!

Fit: This week kicks of Phase 2 of #LGSummerFitcation ((read more about those workouts, here)). As the intensity steps up in this phase, I'm also going to be adding 3 new daily workouts right here on the blog to challenge you in the best of ways. 

These workouts can be added to the SummerFitcation workouts or substituted. The workout style will be unique and fun, aiding in muscle confusion to switch up the body's regular routine, forcing it to even work harder, and as a result burning more calories to provide you with supercharged results!

Flexible: Our July Instagram and fitness challenge is #LGFitAndFlexible It's to add a fun and challenging daily element to our fitness while improving our flexibility. Daily yoga-inspired stretches will be posted right here for you to recreate. The benefits of daily stretching are immense as you can read below. Taking a few minutes to test out a new stretch will benefit your body and rev up your courage and confidence to take into your everyday life as you conquer new stretches!

We will ease into the stretches then work up to more challenging poses - flip the dog and headstands perhaps?! This will be such a fun way to benefit and strengthen our bodies all while having fun!

Benefits of Stretching & Flexibility:
(1) INCREASED MOBILITY, improving the body's ability to perform weight training exercises by creating a greater range of motion
(2) STRESS REDUCTION through helping ease physical tension and promoting an inner stillness
(3) BOOSTED ENERGY through the increase in blood flow, transporting nutrients to the muscle cells
(4) INCREASED CIRCULATION, helping bring nutrients to the muscles and moves waste out of those cells to perform at their peak
(5) PAIN REDUCTION can come from consistent stretching, including improved pain in the back, joints, and muscles as well as helping prevent future injuries
(6) INCREASED EXERCISE PERFORMANCE through increased energy, flexibility and mobility can equate to more fluidity and smoothness for a maximized workout performance
